Random Wednesdays: Writer Without Tech

Hey Lovely Readers, we made it to the mid-week and it’s great to see you all!

Guest Flash Fiction: ~He scratched his long beard and surveyed the desolate landscape; the rolling dust clouds hung low over the once proud skyscrapers in the formerly thriving business district. He sighed and set off in search of other living beings; desperate for companionship.~ By Monalogy

This flash fiction piece ties nicely into what I want to talk about today :):

What do we do when there is no tech?

Sure the subject line gives the impression this just relates to writers, but we’ve all become so plugged in that when it’s taken away we are not quite sure what to do with ourselves.

I started thinking about this as I’m having some tech issues this week and honestly my first instinct was to pine. “How am I going to keep up with the #RThour on twitter?” “Blog post? fuhgeddaboutit!” were just some of the thoughts coursing through my mind. I’m fortunate to have friends, more like family really, who are willing to lend a hand when there is a need, and though I am currently writing this post by hand, the lovely Ramona – who you’ll meet soon enough in upcoming vlogs – will type it up for me so it can be delivered to you.

The thing is though even if there isn’t anyone to help out, don’t let that stop you continue creating and pushing forward towards your goal. It may seem like there are no options to pave the way forward but there always are, even if it requires filling your head with plans and putting pen to paper for the good ones. There are ways to thrive without tech and when it’s back it’ll almost be like it was never gone. ^_^

Please note: After a short break the beginning of Chapter 16: Glamorous Lies, will be posted on ‘Jackie Jones on Wattpad.’. Look out for the Awakening Character Guide soon and catch up with the story using the link above, as with only FIVE chapters left, you’ll want to catch up ^_^.
