Monday Insights: Know What You Want

Birdies-09One of the most important things in this life is knowing exactly what you want. I’m not just talking about material things, but across the spectrum.

charge
Charge!

We’re human, so sometimes it takes a while to discover what we really want and that’s okay. The thing is though, when we know, that’s half the battle won. The other half is where the real work begins. We have to find ways to advance towards our goals. It could be anything from a new relationship, emotional stability, progress in our careers, a private jet, or all of the above, whatever it is we want, the task is ours to strive towards it.

When obstacles crop up, don’t be discouraged, sometimes these turn out to be diversions that set us on a better path. hurdleProcrastination isn’t always bad either, because the truth is sometimes it isn’t really procrastination, but hesitation. I’ve hesitated a couple times in the last months and though for me – who usually just jumps in – it felt weird, in the end I discovered that things worked out better when I waited and watched what was going on a little longer first.

In the end, it’s up to all of us to have the things we want. They’re not unattainable. Believe in yourself, know what you want and go after it :).

  1. My absolute fav para: “In the end, it’s up to all of us to have the things we want. They’re not unattainable. Believe in yourself, know what you want and go after it :).” Thanks for starting my week off on the right foot!

  2. There are always times in our lives when knowing is tough, we change, circumstances change, our ideas about ourselves change. Hesitation is sometimes the best answer. Hesitation allows time for evaluation and thoughtful consideration.

    Nicely done.
