Friday Highlights 36

getwellsoonHey lovely people, I’m still under the weather and actually on sick leave for a few days and, I’ve have been told to rest (emphatically) by my doctor. I’ll try :).

For those new to my blog, each Friday I highlight a great blogger and bring readers up to date on my literary progress. This week I have to divert from this in favour of sharing some important information with you. I can’t give everything away quite yet, but I can at least share a brief overview regarding my new website, which is currently under construction.

websiteconstruct11) The website will soon be up and running and I’ll be offering a range of in-house and outsourced services for writers and otherwise such as e-book formatting, consulting, editing and video production to name a small few.

2) I am still not completely sure if I’m going to pull up the WordPress roots immediately, or have the blog run from here for a while longer before completely integrating it into the site.

3) The site will also feature a range of user friendly options and a host of activities that visitors can take part in. Additionally, in the event that an individual would like to contribute to the site, there will be options in place for that.

amazon14) Jackie Reveals will be solely found on the website and will no longer be a Saturday blog feature after tomorrow’s post.

5) Secrets of the Tenari, Book 1 in The Tenari Trilogy – a YA paranormal/fantasy is now available on Amazon ‘here.’

Okay, those are the main updates I wanted to share for now and I will definitely keep you all posted on the rest. See you Saturday for a new Jackie Reveals and remember, you can still check out Caribbean Dos and Don’ts ‘here’. Be safe, happy and share the good vibes with others.

  1. Hi Jackie,

Sure sorry to hear you’re under the weather just as you’re releasing your book, and I sure hope it’s not all stress-related. I think a lot of people think that all the kind of stuff you do is very casual, in-your-pajamas kind of activity, but I know it’s far from that.

I’ve recently made changes to my website so that it’s more integrated with other social media, such as my WP blog. I gave a lot of thought to dropping my WP blog and just starting one on my site – and I don’t blog nearly as much as you.

I’m still not sure why, but I’ve decided to keep the blog as is, and just link to it from my main site…it’s much easier that way…I think that in any event, it’s important to get blog traffic from outside the realm of the WP community.

Just thought I’d share some ideas with you – get well soon – and here’s a link to my website (by the way, I was really happy to put a link to your blog in my last post, but unfortunately I just don’t get much traffic):

    1. Thanks for the insight Lawrence :). Yea, it’s a decision that isn’t as easy as I thought it’d be, to just switch over. I barely peeked at your website and already loved it so I’m going to go stay a while longer :).

Thanks again for the support and you are very right, this is hard work, but thankfully it’s the labour of absolute love ^_^.
